A Student Veteran's Voice

The student veteran’s transition to higher education is unique compared to other student populations. The experience of deployment, return, and in many cases redeployment complicates students’ transitions, and the experience of war adds complexity to the process that we are still struggling to understand. At a FIDES faculty and staff training, Dusty Ginsbach shares his experience returning to college after a deployment to Afghanistan.

Dusty Ginsbach, United States Army (Staff Sgt.). Mr. Ginsbach received a B.S. in Criminal Justice from Chadron State College.  He is currently pursuing a J.D. at the University of South Dakota, and is President of the USD Veterans’ Legal Education Group.
