Call for Participants: CTL Course Redesign Fellowship

Hi folks,

The Center for Teaching and Learning invites all faculty (full or part-time) and instructional staff to apply for the Course Design/Redesign Fellowship (CRF).  Participants receive:

A $750 stipend for successfully designing/redesigning a course and an additional $250 for collecting and returning all appropriate data after the course is delivered
Direct support from a trained GTA or Technology Integrationist, including some class attendance to assist with implementation of the course and course related technology.
Significant training on course design strategies, pedagogy, and technology

The CRF runs from May 19-22 and 27-30 from 9am to noon.   Past participants have rated this as one of the most valuable experiences the CTL offers, and have successfully implemented new teaching strategies that have strengthened student learning, enhanced engagement, and increased enthusiasm in their courses.

Please click on this link for call for participants.  Applications are due Friday, March 7, 2014.  Please submit proposals electronically to CTL@usd.edu, and put “CTL Course Redesign” in the subject line of your email.  Past recipients of this award may apply again, but must be designing/redesigning a different course.  Online faculty may apply, but must attend the fellowship in person.

If you have any questions, please contact me at 5411 or through email.

Sincerely,

Bruce
